The Caterpillar 287-B is a multi-terrain loader produced with the ASV undercarriage. The 287B track loader features a 76 hp Caterpillar 3044C-DIT engine that gives it the power and reliability that you would expect of Caterpillar product. The Caterpillar 287 B features a vertical lift design and has an operating weight of 10,275 lbs . A tipping load of 7,200 lbs, gives it an operating capacity at 50% of 3,600 lbs. These machines were produced from 2004 to 2007 and featured a single-speed transmission with a ground speed up to 7 mph. The ASV undercarriage features a 18 inch wide rubber track allowing the 287 B a ground pressure of just 3.8 psi. This Caterpillar has a low flow auxiliary hydraulic system that produces 22 gpm @ 3,335 psi and a high flow option of 33 gpm @ 4,060 psi. This flow allows for the use of a wide range of attachments that you can find right here at Track Loader Parts. The 287-B offers more ground clearance (11 inches) than most other track loaders in its class. The CAT 287B also has a greater departure angle (47° degrees) that enables the units to push up on higher grades without bottoming out. Arm lifting force (5,230 lbs) and breakout force (5,508 lbs) are also higher than most other competitive models.
